Our School

Be an A.C.E.! At Maple, we believe that high academic expectations coupled with the teaching of quality character traits such as work, respect, trustworthiness, and responsibility will grow excellent students, sons, daughters, citizens, and future leaders. Every day our teachers and staff work to incorporate such teachings into their activities and curriculum, which makes Maple a great place to educate the children of Tulare.

Our Mission Statement

Maple Elementary School is privileged to serve more than 700 kindergarten through fifth grade students. Our theme is "Be an A.C.E." (Academics + Character = Excellence). Our staff is dedicated to the pursuit of academic excellence and positive character development for all students. We stress the values of work and respect daily in order to guide students toward success. We provide an enriching instructional program and a supportive learning environment to form the basis for lifelong personal growth.

A Safe Environment for Learning

Maple School is a safe place for students to learn and grow. Our school has a Safe School Plan that is in place and updated yearly by the School Safety Committee. We schedule evacuation drills on a regular basis to ensure that staff and students know what to do in an emergency. We also provide adequate supervision before school, during break/recess, at lunch, and after school. All of our classrooms are clean and orderly and provide a safe environment to support teaching and learning.

Parental Involvement

We encourage Maple parents to be involved in their children’s education. Participation in parent/teacher conferences, Family Night activities, the PTO, SSC, and ELLAC will tell your children that you care about their education. When they see that you are involved in what goes on at school, they will, in turn, be more invested, do better on tests, and reach their potential academically and personally.
